Yoga, Snacks, & Stargazing!

Yoga Class

8:00pm: Enjoy the beginner-level yoga class from one of the most beautiful sites in Quinan (meet at Deep Sky Eye Observatory). Bring a yoga mat (one can be provided, let us know) and a refillable water bottle. While this class will not be strenuous, you will be asked to move around a bit, so wear comfortable, somewhat fitted clothing (no baggy t-shirts, etc) you enjoy being active in! The class will last approximately 1 hour long and will be done outdoors. Bring an extra layer or two to keep you warm when the sun sets. Also bring bug spray, it is summer in the woods after all :)

Snack Time

9:30pm: Enjoy some "out of this world" treats by Mind's Eye Baking pastry chef, Kate Giglio, including French and Italian-inspired sweet and savory bites. Hot chocolate and water will be included.

Stargazing

10:30pm: Settle into comfortable zero-gravity chairs beneath the dark skies of Quinan for a guided stargazing experience. Learn how to find their way around the night sky using Polaris, constellations, and seasonal sky markers before exploring deep-sky wonders through powerful telescopes. It’s a calm, inspiring way to end the evening — stretching the body, feeding the imagination, and looking up at the summer Milky Way from one of North America’s darkest sky regions.

‍If you feel moved to extend the experience, an optional overnight stay will be available at checkout if accommodations are available.

NOTE: If skies are cloudy, guests can enjoy an engaging indoor presentation, return on another night, or receive a $30 refund for the stargazing portion.

In partnership with Inner Oaks, this is a guided evening designed to gently drop you into your heart space - a place of presence.

Inner Oaks - 5:00pm - 7:00pm

You arrive at Inner Oaks, a beautiful riverside setting where nature surrounds you - flowing river, beautiful oak trees, birds, butterflies, herbs, and lavender growing throughout the property. A setting that immediately invites you to slow down and relax on the covered veranda. There is an ancestral energy to this land. Long before us, it has been walked, held, and witnessed - that presence still felt in the rhythm of the river and the strength of the trees. There is a natural sense of grounding that you can feel simply by being here.

You are guided through a “head to heart” intentional experience - a gentle practice to soften mental noise and reconnect with the present moment through the intelligence of the heart. During this time, you will also enjoy a prepared picnic basket of healthy, holistic nourishment to complement the experience in a grounded and easeful way.

Deep Sky Eye Observatory - 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM

As the evening gently transitions from Inner Oaks, your journey continues at Deep Sky Eye Observatory, where the experience opens into the vastness above. Settling into comfortable reclining chairs under some of Nova Scotia’s darkest skies, you’ll be guided through a peaceful, immersive stargazing experience that builds on the presence cultivated earlier. Through storytelling, cosmic perspective, and views of the celestial wonders, the night sky becomes more than something to observe—it becomes something to feel. This closing chapter invites quiet reflection, awe, and a deeper sense of connection, leaving you grounded from to heart to sky, and aligned with the stars.

This is a fun, memorable evening for the entire family. Bring a lawn chair, sit back under the stars, and enjoy a taste of traditional Acadian Rappie Pie and a beverage while Tim guides you through the very skies that once guided a people.
